Dangers of Morbid Obesity

There's an myth that if you don't lose the extra pounds by age 25 you'll be stuck with them for life.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Losing weight is a matter of mathematics and healthy lifestyle choices. We all know, or should know, by now that being excessively overweight can be very dangerous for us.

For those of you who haven't heard, obesity can cause the following problems:
• It can wear down joints, that may require surgery to repair
• Stress out your body
• Breathing problems like sleep apnea and asthma
• Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
• High cholesterol
• Liver disease
• Type II Diabetes
• Heart Disease
• Congestive Heart Failure
• Bladder Control Problems
• Stroke
• Greater Risk of Breast and Colon Cancer
• Depression

The best solution for dealing with excess weight is diet and exercise. If you're over 40 be sure to check with your doctor before starting any new diet or exercise programs.More than anything else DON'T DIET.

Dieting is a short term solution to a life long condition. Be certain to adopt a lifestyle. This means changing your eating habits and your exercise (or activity) habits.
